Relaxing day

Sunday 21st April
A quiet day today adjusting to the time. Weather is sort of overcast with occasional bursts of sunshine, but quite mild in the early 20’s. We went up to the local shops in the morning as we didn’t have any Wi Fi for the I-Pad, so we purchased a Telstra card and put it into the computer, then organized the authorization. ( I hope Craig is impressed that I mastered the technology all by myself!!) So once again we have our blog.
In the afternoon we drove out to meet my cousin Marian and her husband Alan Perkins and spent a very pleasant afternoon with them catching up on some WA news. I forgot my camera , so wasn’t able to take any photos. It was a quiet day relaxing.

Very impressed you managed that all by yourself Dad!!!

Cold and wet here… I had an interesting morning on my First Aid course… arrived and was ushered into the room, but when the sign off register came around I noticed my name wasn’t on the form, and everyone else was from Victoria Police. I said to the the instructor “I think I am in the wrong course, my name isn’t on the register…” and she said no worries, just write it at the bottom.

(my story is too long as always so I’ll split it into two comments…)

So I added it, and as they went around the room saying what Police department they worked for, I said “Well I am the odd one out, as I work for Coles!” They all laughed and moved on.About lunch time, the Instructor came up and said “you didn’t include you Rank and Serial number” and I said “That’s because I work for Coles..” That was when she paled and said “Oh… I thought you were joking!!!”
Turned out I was in the Victoria Police Emergency Response Course!!!
So, they were very apologetic and said they would have to rebook me at another date!!! Hilarious!!! Anyway – enjoy the warm weather and say Hi to all the family 🙂

Hi mum &dad, thought I’d let you know we found Sophie’s glasses – she told me she put them in the top zipper pocket of her school bag, but they weren’t there when she got to school…. turns out she was nearly right, she DID put into a school bag – Mitch’s!!! Only been turning the house upside down for a week looking for them!!! Hope that gave you a giggle, enjoy your day Xx
